چکیده مقاله:

The role of the Internet of Medical Things (IoMT) and Wireless Body Area Networks (WBAN) in smart healthcare is becoming more and more prominent. Telecommunication security in IoMT faces the risk of exposing patient and healthcare staff information, which has significantly increased the possibility of human and financial losses. Because during the transmission process, information may be easily overheard, forged, or modified by attackers. Recently, a lightweight authentication and session key agreement protocol called LAKA has been proposed for WBAN. In this study, we first carefully examine the security weaknesses of the LAKA, which include the lack of untraceability and the lack of resistance to the stolen verifier table attack. For this reason, we have proposed the 𝐋𝐀𝐊𝐀 + to improve this and other similar schemes. In the proposed protocol, the patient and the server authenticate each other and also generate the session key securely. The security proof of 𝐋𝐀𝐊𝐀 + has been performed using informal analysis and well-known BAN logic. Also, the communication overhead of the proposed scheme has been improved compared to other schemes. The storage cost also remains the same as the LAKA scheme. 𝐋𝐀𝐊𝐀 + has overall more optimal performances.
