چکیده مقاله:

This article examines the integration of emerging technologies into landscape architecture and examines their impact on design processes, sustainability, and innovation. Traditionally a fusion of art, science, and environmental stewardship, landscape architecture has undergone significant transformation with the emergence of technologies such as geographic information systems (GIS), computer-aided design (CAD), augmented reality (AR), artificial intelligence (AI), and more recently, the Internet of Things (IoT), and advanced machine learning. These technological advances offer new possibilities for increasing efficiency, precision, and creativity in landscape design. This article looks at specific case studies-The High Line in New York City, Gardens by the Bay in Singapore, and Copenhagen's Climate Resilient Neighborhood-to illustrate how these technologies are being applied to contemporary landscape architecture projects. The results assess the benefits and limitations observed in these cases, highlighting the potential of technology in facilitating sustainable and innovative design solutions while acknowledging challenges, including technical complexity, financial constraints, and the need for ongoing professional development. Looking ahead, the paper speculates on future technological developments and their potential impacts on the field. It suggests a trajectory in which the Internet of Things, advanced artificial intelligence, and more pervasive AR and VR tools could transform landscape architecture. Recommendations for education and practice are provided that emphasize the need for up-to-date curricula, lifelong learning, collaborative research, and an ethical approach to integrating technology. In conclusion, the paper emphasizes the importance of embracing technology in landscape architecture to address contemporary environmental challenges and societal needs. It advocates for a balanced approach in which technological innovations are harmoniously integrated with the core values of the field to create sustainable, inclusive, and responsive landscapes.
