چکیده مقاله:
The current research carries out a detailed dynamic simulation analysis concerning the benzene and toluene separation process through a distillation column, especially with respect to pressure dynamics, hydraulic properties, and sophisticated control strategies. The model precisely accounts for the pressure drop in the column, liquid holdup in both the condenser and reboiler sections, and the systematic employment of inventory controllers, as well as product-quality controllers. Disturbance changes in feed flow rate and feed compositions are considered to investigate their transient impact effects on distillate product purity, as well as bottoms product purity, under practical operational conditions. The system performance analysis is investigated, including comparisons in scenarios that preceded, as well as succeeded, temperature control strategies, and then the implementation of reflux ratio control strategies. The outcome from this analysis suggests that the employment of quality-oriented controllers makes significant contributions to the column process in accomplishing predetermined product purity specifications, as well as operational performance.
