چکیده مقاله:

This study reports the synthesis and CO₂ adsorption performance of a novel Periodic Mesoporous Organosilica (PMO) functionalized with paraphenylenediamine and EDTA dianhydride (EDTADA) groups. The incorporation of multiple nitrogen atoms enhances CO₂ capture through synergistic chemisorption and physisorption mechanisms. Surface area, pore volume, and functional group density were analyzed to evaluate adsorption efficiency, cyclic stability, and overall performance under ambient conditions, demonstrating the potential of this material for sustainable carbon capture applications. Structural and morphological analyses were carried out using XRD and TEM, confirming the successful synthesis of the designed PMO. The CO₂ adsorption isotherm revealed a high uptake capacity, highlighting the efficiency of the nitrogen-functionalized framework. Furthermore, this PMO material holds promise for future applications such as the adsorption of heavy metal ions and other environmental remediation processes.
