چکیده مقاله:

This article provides a comprehensive review of the widespread and increasing impacts of environmental pollutants on children's health. Children are more vulnerable to environmental toxicants due to their physiological and behavioral characteristics, including higher respiratory and metabolic rates, as well as their developing immune and nervous systems. The aim of this research is to investigate and explain the mechanisms through which exposure to pollutants, especially during prenatal and childhood, can lead to a wide range of diseases. The results of this study show that air pollution (caused by particulate matter, nitrogen oxides, and lead), water pollution (caused by heavy metals and industrial chemicals), and soil pollution (caused by pesticides and herbicides) are associated with an increased risk of serious diseases in children.
