چکیده مقاله:

Background: Crisis can appear unexpectedly and may be man-made or natural. Artificial intelligence can help the survival of the organization by processing information quickly. The purpose of this study is to determine the role of artificial intelligence in crisis management. Materials and Methods: A comprehensive search was conducted in specialized scientific databases such as PubMed, Scopus, and Web of Science. This search included articles published from ۲۰۱۸ to ۲۰۲۴, using specific keywords. The inclusion criteria were aimed at studies that examined the applications of artificial intelligence in crises. Articles were excluded if they did not focus on artificial intelligence in crises, were not published in English, and their full text was not available. Finally, ۱۰ articles were selected and reviewed. The collected data were analyzed using narrative synthesis to identify patterns in the application of digital tools in this area. Data extraction was performed by ۳ independent reviewers. Results: The aim of crisis management is to control the crisis rather than eliminate it based on the best information. Artificial intelligence can be described as an alternative to perform intellectual tasks traditionally performed by humans. Its abilities include learning, reasoning, planning, decision-making, and communication. The use of artificial intelligence in crisis management has advantages that can be pointed out in the detection of anomalies before the start of the crisis and massive data processing. AI techniques can affect important characteristics of decision-making processes, sharing data, developing strategies, predictive and prevention analysis, patient prioritization in a foreseeable period of time. Among its disadvantages, it can be mentioned that it is a huge initial data, without intuition and without ethics. Of course, in cases such as specific actions where the correctness or otherwise of the artificial intelligence decision is not clear, human intervention must be done. Conclusion and Discussion: Overall, AI will not only help us fight against every phases of crisis but will help us prepare and institutionalize the crisis management better for the future. Decision making organizations need to balance comprehensiveness and speed through their AI investments and support AI-based solutions, since they're increasingly facing more frequent and devastating crises. By further exploring these issues, we can better prepare for potential challenges and opportunities that AI may bring in the future.
