چکیده مقاله:
Background: Trauma is one of the most significant challenges facing healthcare systems, resulting in millions of deaths and serious injuries each year. EMS services, as the first line of defense in managing traumatic incidents, play a crucial role in reducing mortality and morbidity rates. However, challenges such as a lack of proper equipment, insufficient training, and weaknesses in quality management systems make the need for improvement in these services increasingly evident. In this context, enhancing the quality of these services requires examining the influencing factors and providing appropriate solutions. Materials and Methods: This Literature review included studies published from ۲۰۱۵ to ۲۰۲۴. The research question was, "What are the key factors and effective strategies for improving pre-hospital emergency services?" Databases, including PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science, SID, and Google Scholar, were searched and Persian and English studies related to the research question were included in the study. The primary studies described "Pre-hospital emergency services," "trauma," "influencing factors," "trauma management,” “service quality" or their synonyms. Results: The results of the review indicate that several factors are effective in improving pre-hospital emergency services in trauma, which can be categorized as follows: Use of modern technologies The use of tools such as artificial intelligence, geographic positioning systems (GPS), and telemedicine has been able to enhance the efficiency of responses to traumatic incidents. Studies have shown that these technologies improve diagnostic accuracy and the speed of patient transfer to medical centers. Training and empowering human resources Training EMS personnel in trauma management skills, including rapid assessment and stabilization of patients, is a key factor in successfully reducing mortality. formulation of supportive policies response time standards, equipment quality, and coordinated protocols for trauma management has played an important role in improving patient outcomes. Resource management and access improvement Effective resource management, including the proper distribution of ambulances and advanced equipment in remote areas, has increased patients' access to quality services. Conclusion: Improving EMS services in the management of trauma patients requires a comprehensive and multifaceted approach. The use of modern technologies, increasing the level of staff training, creating supportive policies, and better resource management can effectively enhance the quality of emergency services in trauma care.
