چکیده مقاله:

Instructional coaching has emerged as a paradigm-shifting approach to professional development in educational settings. This article synthesizes historical development, empirical evidence, and theoretical frameworks to present a comprehensive analysis of coaching's impact on teacher practice and student outcomes. Through systematic review of causal studies and meta-analytic findings, we demonstrate that coaching produces significant positive effects on both teaching quality (۰.۴۹ SD) and student achievement (۰.۱۸ SD), with particular strength in improving classroom management and complex instructional strategies. The analysis reveals that effective implementation requires robust coach-teacher relationships, job-embedded support, and alignment with school improvement priorities. Furthermore, we examine the expanding application of coaching principles to leadership development and equity-focused initiatives. The evidence establishes coaching as a powerful mechanism for creating collaborative cultures of continuous improvement, though its efficacy is mediated by implementation quality and contextual factors. We conclude with theoretically-grounded and research-informed suggestions for optimizing coaching practices at instructional, institutional, and systemic levels.
