چکیده مقاله:

This paper investigates a consequent-pole magnetic gear (MG) design aimed at reducing the reliance on permanent magnet (PM) material while maintaining high torque performance. Conventional magnetic gears require significant amounts of rare-earth magnets, which increase cost and limit large-scale applications. By employing a consequent-pole configuration, the amount of PM material can be substantially reduced; however, this structure introduces magnetic field imbalance and increases cogging torque. To address these challenges, this research proposes an asymmetric pole shaping method combined with optimization techniques. The study focuses on achieving efficient torque transmission, reduced torque ripple, and improved material utilization in cost-effective, high-performance magnetic gear systems.
