چکیده مقاله:
Vocabulary learning is one of the most essential components of second and foreign language acquisition, as it directly influences learners’ communicative competence and overall language proficiency. The theory of Multiple Intelligences (MI), proposed by Gardner, suggests that learners possess different types of intelligences that can be utilized in educational settings to enhance learning outcomes. This article reviews the role of multiple intelligences in English vocabulary learning and explores practical instructional applications for teachers. The study is based on a theoretical and analytical review of recent literature in language education and cognitive psychology. Findings indicate that integrating multiple intelligences-based strategies—such as linguistic, visual-spatial, musical, bodily-kinesthetic, interpersonal, and intrapersonal activities—can significantly improve vocabulary retention, learner engagement, and motivation. Moreover, the application of MI theory in classroom instruction allows teachers to address individual differences among learners and create more inclusive and effective learning environments. The study concludes that teachers’ awareness and implementation of multiple intelligence-based strategies can enhance vocabulary acquisition and foster more meaningful language learning experiences.
