Redesigning Iran’s Health Tourism System Through the Introduction of a New ۸T Model Aimed at Market Development

The health tourism industry is one of the strategic sectors in wealth creation, health diplomacy, employment generation, and strengthening Iran’s regional position. Considering the scientific, medical, cultural, and geographical capacities of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the West Asia and North Africa region, and in line with the ۲۰۲۵ Vision, General Health Policies, Development Plans, and the Policies of the Resistance Economy, this model has been developed with the aim of developing, organizing, and integrating the national health tourism system. This paper presents a new model that defines the macro framework for governance, development, and supervision of this industry.
