چکیده مقاله:

This study comprehensively investigates the detrimental effects of vehicle overloading on asphalt pavement infrastructure. Through systematic analysis of technical mechanisms, economic implications, and environmental consequences, the research demonstrates that overloading follows the Fourth Power Law, where damage increases exponentially with axle load increases. The findings reveal that overloaded vehicles can reduce pavement service life by ۲۵-۸۰% and account for nearly half of all pavement failures in some regions. The study identifies critical failure modes including accelerated rutting, fatigue cracking, pothole formation, and surface raveling. Furthermore, the research highlights the cascading effects of overloading on fuel consumption, emissions, and maintenance costs. The paper concludes by proposing an integrated mitigation framework combining enhanced enforcement strategies, improved pavement design specifications, advanced monitoring technologies, and stakeholder education programs to ensure sustainable road infrastructure management.
