چکیده مقاله:

Background: Simulation-based learning has emerged as a cornerstone in modern nursing education, providing students with experiential, safe, and skill oriented environments. Despite extensive evidence supporting simulation in adult and emergency care domains, its structured integration in pediatric nursing curricula remains fragmented. This systematic review aimed to synthesize current evidence on the efficacy of simulation-based learning approaches in enhancing clinical competence, communication, and decision-making among pediatric nursing students. Methods: A comprehensive search was conducted in PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science, and CINAHL databases for studies published between ۲۰۱۵ and ۲۰۲۴ using the keywords “simulation” “pediatric nursing education,” clinical competence “,” and “interactive learning.” A PRISMA guided inclusion process selected ۲۸ high-quality studies. Data extraction focused on educational frameworks, assessment tools, and learning outcomes. Results: Simulation-based modules employing high-fidelity mannequins and scenario-based virtual environments led to significant improvement in psychomotor skills (p < ۰.۰۰۱) and situational judgment. Mixed method designs revealed positive effects on learners’ empathy and parental communication. However, heterogeneity in evaluation tools and assessment criteria was prominent, limiting direct cross study comparison. Conclusion: Simulation-based learning enhances holistic competence in pediatric nursing students when integrated through structured curricula emphasizing emotional intelligence and ethical care. Future interventions should align with evidence based educational standards for longitudinal outcome measurement and faculty calibration.
