چکیده مقاله:
Foreign language anxiety is one of the most important affective variables influencing the process of second and foreign language learning, which can significantly affect learners’ performance. The present article aims to review and analyze research findings regarding the role of foreign language anxiety in the performance of English language learners and to identify effective strategies for reducing it. This study was conducted using a review method through the examination of articles published in معتبر scientific databases. The results of the studies indicate that foreign language anxiety has a significant negative impact on learners’ language skills. Ultimately, the findings suggest that creating a supportive learning environment, using interactive activities, reducing emphasis on direct error correction, strengthening self-efficacy, and similar approaches can lead to a reduction in foreign language anxiety and an improvement in learners’ performance. These results can provide practical guidance for teachers, educational planners, and researchers in the field of English language education.
