چکیده مقاله:
As climate change and rising sea levels threaten coastal cities, this research examines oceanic habitat architecture as a novel framework for designing self-sustaining floating cities. The primary objective is to propose a theoretical and practical framework for constructing oceanic cities that harmonize human life, technology, and the ocean. This study employs a theoretical-synthetic methodology, synthesizing academic literature analysis, case studies of pioneering projects (e.g., Oceanix and Maldives Floating City), and adaptation of biomimicry and infrastructure aesthetics principles. The research corpus comprises existing floating city projects and historical Iranian dry-region practices (e.g., qanats, sardabs) as indigenous templates for oceanic habitat architecture. Data collection tools included textual analysis and case studies, with validity confirmed through alignment with scientific principles (fractal geometry, fluid aesthetics, biomimicry). Data analysis followed a conceptual and comparative structure based on aquatic urbanism and form aesthetics frameworks. Results indicate that oceanic habitat architecture—through modular systems (hexagons), marine biomimicry (inspired by water lilies and coral), and infrastructure aesthetics (rendering infrastructure as artistic elements)—can:۱. Increase land efficiency by ۴۰%۲. Prevent social segregation۳. Ensure ecological sustainability via smart materials and visible infrastructure۴. Create immaterial aesthetic experiences (e.g., light play and suspension sensations)This model transforms architecture from static structures to floating, dynamic systems and redefines the city as a laboratory for future civilization.
