Level of anxiety among students who visiting dental office

Anxiety is the fiction of imaginary threat, unknown and unfamiliar phenomenon Increase, an unpleasant and obscure feeling is due to the expectation of an unfavorable event. Dental anxiety is currently considered to be a negative state of mind, it can be identified through various symptoms and body signs such as tachycardia palpitations, breathing difficulty, sweating, pallor, nausea, diarrhea and headaches. Objective: To determine level of dental anxiety in patients between ۱۸ and ۴۰ years old who attended dental consultations during June to December ۲۰۲۵ in Golestan province, Iran. Methods: descriptive, cross sectional, descriptive study was carried out to determine level of dental anxiety in patients between ۱۸ and ۴۰ years of age between June to December ۲۰۲۵. The present study was conducted based on a descriptive-cross-sectional design. Participants were Selected via convenience sampling. The sample in this study included ۲۸۰ patients referred to dental clinics in Golestan Province. The instruments used in this study included the Pain Anxiety Questionnaire Dental Anxiety Inventor (DAI). Finally data were analyzed by using statistical software (SPSS) frequency, mean, and so the inference was provided for hypothesis testing of 'T' was used to examine relationships between variables. Results: sixty-seven percent said that they do suffer from dental anxiety. According to the analysis we can see that the majority of individuals feel anxious before dental treatment.
