چکیده مقاله:

Air curtains are widely used in industrial ventilation systems, commercial buildings, fire safety and smoke control applications. They are highly effective in preventing the spread of pollutant gases in enclosed spaces by creating an invisible barrier of airflow, which also helps to maintain temperature control and enhance energy efficiency by limiting air leakage and reducing heat transfer. This study integrates the sliding mode control method for regulating the air curtain velocity in order to control the mass fraction of CO₂ gas under different pressure conditions which act as external disturbances. A wall jet configuration, integrated with the sliding mode control method, is thoroughly evaluated using detailed numerical simulations to assess the effectiveness of the proposed optimized air curtain structure in pollutant containment. The results indicate that the designed control system demonstrates superior performance in enhancing air quality even in the presence of varying environment parameters, which ensures robust pollutant control even in the presence of the critical environmental changes for improved safety and operational efficiency.
