چکیده مقاله:
The accelerating advancement of communication technologies has positioned social networks as a pivotal element in contemporary organizational dynamics. This study examines the impact of workplace social networks on employees’ organizational commitment, highlighting both their positive and negative implications. Social networks—whether organizationally embedded platforms or external applications such as Telegram, WhatsApp, and LinkedIn—reshape professional interactions, employee morale, productivity, and organizational commitment. While these tools enhance communication, collaboration, knowledge exchange, and the sense of belonging, they simultaneously pose challenges by fostering distractions, encouraging time misuse, and blurring the boundaries between professional and personal spheres. Employing a descriptive–analytical design, the research was conducted through field surveys using a standardized questionnaire administered to employees across multiple organizations. The results demonstrate that a strategic and structured use of social networks strengthens organizational commitment, job satisfaction, and team cohesion, whereas uncontrolled use may erode productivity and weaken organizational integration. These findings underscore the necessity of developing comprehensive policies and training initiatives to ensure the effective utilization of social networks as a critical component of human resource management and the cultivation of organizational culture.
