چکیده مقاله:

Artificial intelligence, particularly large language models like ChatGPT, revolutionized intelligent educational systems by offering innovative solutions for personalized learning and instructional support. This literature review aimed to investigate the role of ChatGPT in shaping intelligent educational systems, focusing on its applications, benefits, limitations, and future potential in education. A narrative review was conducted by searching the Scopus database using the keywords 'ChatGPT', 'education' and 'intelligent tutoring system'. Relevant peer-reviewed articles from ۲۰۲۰ to ۲۰۲۵ published in English were selected to synthesize existing research. The review revealed that ChatGPT supported interactive and adaptive learning through applications such as virtual tutoring, content generation, and language learning assistance, while enhancing educational accessibility and personalization. However, it also posed challenges, including the risk of misinformation and ethical issues like data privacy and algorithmic bias. Comparisons with traditional teaching methods suggested that a blended approach integrating human instruction with AI tools offered a balanced educational strategy, with future possibilities including integration with virtual and augmented reality for immersive learning. The review concluded that ChatGPT held transformative potential for education but required careful management of ethical and practical challenges to ensure equitable and effective use.
