چکیده مقاله:

Contemporary architecture in both developing and developed countries seeks to embody novel ideas and creative expressions within spatial and formal building structures. As a result, architectural design can no longer be confined to paper sketches and hand-drawn lines. Various digital platforms now play a pivotal role—either directly or indirectly—in steering the design process forward. Consequently, the professional scope of architects and designers has become significantly more complex compared to traditional approaches. Among the most popular and influential design paradigms today is parametric design, which captivates the interest of numerous practitioners. This methodology is fundamentally driven by sophisticated mathematical formulas and logical relationships, requiring a deep understanding of algorithmic principles and their fusion with architectural thinking. Given that many design challenges extend beyond the cognitive and intuitive abilities of designers, computers serve as essential tools to facilitate and materialize these concepts. This intersection between architecture, mathematics, technology, and computing gives rise to an important research question: How can specialized parametric knowledge be practically applied within the architectural discipline? Furthermore, is it possible to formulate parametric structures and algorithms that align meaningfully with the foundational principles of architectural design? The present study explores this challenge by emphasizing the qualitative nature of the research. Through a descriptive-analytical approach, it investigates the dynamic interplay between architectural theory, mathematical logic, digital technologies, and computational systems. One of the main findings suggests that architecture—through readable algorithmic coding—can channel its design complexities into digital environments, ultimately leading to more coherent and meaningful parametric outcomes that resonate with human spatial experience.
