چکیده مقاله:
As urbanization accelerates, the building's construction and operation environmental impact are rising as the burning issues that need to be solved by using various innovative methods. Life Cycle Thinking (LCT) serves as a framework of the whole system for determining the harmful effects of the building materials and methods through the entire lifespan of the product from the extraction to disposal. This method starts off with a brief description of LCT, then a survey of its theoretical foundations, and eventually two examples of its successful use of LCT in the construction industry are illustrated. The results show that adopting LCT can be a major contributor of valuable environmental, economic, and social advantages. These benefits comprise the improvements such as cutting carbon emissions, reducing the expenses of operating building facilities, and increasing the quality of the environment by making buildings better and more sustainable. As the construction industry continues to evolve, the principles of LCT should be embraced as a critical tool in creating a more sustainable future for the built environment, the use of LCT by stakeholders will help to achieve the balanced urban areas development in a way that is environmentally friendly and economically viable, which will, in the end, result in the more resilient and sustainable urban landscape.
