چکیده مقاله:
In order to control the quality of concrete, various tests are carried out on the obtained samples, among which the compressive strength test is of particular importance. One of the less-considered factors influencing the accuracy of this test is the type and quality of the sampling molds. In this study, the effect of plastic cube molds with dimensions of ۱۵۰×۱۵۰×۱۵۰ mm, in two types—one-piece and two-piece—on the compressive strength of concrete specimens at ۲۸ days was investigated. The results showed a significant difference between the compressive strength values obtained from one-piece and two-piece molds. The average difference in compressive strength between the two types of molds was found to be ۱۳.۵%, which is considerable. The maximum observed difference was ۵۵.۰۸%, while the minimum was ۰.۱۴%. These variations can be attributed to factors such as distortion of the molds, manufacturing quality, inaccuracies in assembling two-piece molds, and deviation from squareness. Therefore, the choice of mold type can directly affect the results of concrete compressive strength tests and should be given special attention in construction projects and research studies.
