A novel technique for determining the fault plane is introduced, which leverages the spatial positions of aftershock hypocentres. This method eliminates the need for human observation and inference by employing automatic fitting techniques within a three-dimensional environment. First a synthetically created cloud of data point as seismic events is given as the output to the method, leading to determination of the causative fault planes, and a relatively complicated case is tried out with three different planes with various dimensions and overlaps. Then the method is tested on real datasets and the results are compared with previous studies. By directly utilizing the spatial locations of seismic events, a plane is accurately fitted to the data. The fault plane's geometrical characterization is ultimately achieved through computer modelling, demonstrating strong agreement with both the traditional method's fault plane and the source parameters derived from the event's focal mechanism solution.
