چکیده مقاله:

This study explores the roles and status of women in Islam through a detailed literature review focusing on Quranic and Hadith perspectives. The research examines gender equality discourse, women's roles in the domestic and public spheres, and future perspectives within an Islamic framework. By systematically reviewing Quranic verses, Hadith texts, and scholarly interpretations, the study reveals that numerous Islamic texts emphasize the equal status of men and women before God. These texts advocate for justice and fairness in all aspects of life, including gender relations and women's participation in both domestic and public life. Recognizing women's contributions is vital for societal development, particularly in Indonesia. To promote gender equality and empowerment, it is essential to develop progressive fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence) that adapts to the evolving roles of women in society. Islam, as a comprehensive way of life, addresses various aspects of human existence, including the rights and responsibilities of women. Contrary to common misconceptions, Islam upholds the dignity and rights of women, advocating for their social, economic, educational, and political empowerment. Foundational Islamic texts contain numerous provisions emphasizing the importance of women's rights, highlighting the need for their active participation in society. In the context of today's technological society, women's roles are multifaceted and crucial for advancing gender equality, economic growth, and innovation. Despite challenges and disparities, women's participation in the tech industry is increasing, underscoring the importance of continuing efforts to bridge the gender gap and promote inclusivity in all sectors. This ongoing exploration and adaptation of Islamic perspectives on women's roles are vital for ensuring their empowerment and active contribution to modern society.
