چکیده مقاله:
Aluminas are widely used as catalytic supports in chemical reactions. In particular, gamma alumina (γ-Al۲O۳) is most commonly used in the catalyst industry due to its high surface area. Reforming reactions to obtain synthesis gas requires good mechanical strength and low sintering behaviour. In this work, a catalyst was prepared from γ-Al۲O۳ granules by calcining, impregnating with copper nitrate and magnesium nitrate, drying, and reducing in a stream of hydrogen gas. The resulting catalyst was characterized using FT-IR, XRD, SEM, and EDS techniques.
