چکیده مقاله:

Textile dyes such as methylene blue are a growing environmental pollutant worldwide. They may be directly transferred from textile industries to aquatic animals, acting as a direct resource for the entire ecosystem, ultimately affecting humans. The use of nanoparticles as photocatalysts for the degradation of dyes is of great interest. Graphene quantum dots (GQDs) is one of the traditional allotropes of carbon-based nanomaterials that has gathered prominence due to its different applications in the energy, environmental, and healthcare sectors owing to its electrical, optoelectronic, and catalytic properties. GQDs can be synthesized using plant resources rather than using crude, toxic, or costly chemical compounds. Using a substrate to more uniformly disperse quantum particles can improve the properties. If this substrate is a natural zeolite such as analcime, in addition to reducing the cost, we will see other benefits such as reducing toxicity. Therefore, in this work, graphene quantum dots synthesized from grape leaves were placed on an analcime zeolite substrate and synthesis GQD/Analcim composite then its photocatalytic property for degradation of methylene blue was investigated.
