چکیده مقاله:
In this study, a ZnFe₂O₄/Natrolite zeolite nanocomposite was synthesized using a two-step process. First, natural natrolite zeolite, sourced from a mineral origin, was purified. Then, ZnFe₂O₄ nanoparticles were incorporated onto the zeolite framework using an ultrasound-assisted hydrothermal technique. The resulting ZnFe₂O₄/Natrolite nanocomposite was thoroughly characterized using FESEM, EDX, XRD, FTIR, BET, and VSM analyses. This nanocomposite was subsequently employed for the removal of dimethyl ۲,۴-dichlorophenol from aqueous solution. The removal efficiency was monitored using UV–Vis spectroscopy. The effects of key parameters such as reaction time, initial pollutant concentration, and catalyst dosage were systematically investigated. UV–Vis results showed that ۲,۴-dichlorophenol was completely removed under optimal conditions using the ZnFe₂O₄/Natrolite catalyst. The best performance was achieved with a reaction time of ۶۰ minutes, the catalyst dosage of ۵ mg, and an initial pollutant concentration of ۲۰ mg/mL.
