چکیده مقاله:

Taiwan is one of the most seismically active countries in the world, known for its history of devastating earthquakes. Numerous active faults crisscross the nation, leading to frequent and sometimes catastrophic seismic events. In the last decade, Taiwan experienced ۱,۱۹۱ earthquakes with magnitudes of ۳.۵ or higher. Among these, the ۷.۴-magnitude earthquake in Hualien City on ۲ February, ۲۰۲۴, stands out as the largest earthquake of the decade, causing significant damage. An analysis of data from the last decade reveals an extraordinary number and magnitude of earthquakes across Taiwan, with substantial seismic energy release throughout the country's diverse regions. Statistical analysis of seismicity during this period plays a vital role in better understanding Taiwan's seismically active zones and enhancing preparedness for natural disasters. These statistics emphasize that Taiwan faces serious seismic risks, necessitating rigorous preventive measures and comprehensive planning to mitigate the hazards associated with such phenomena.
