چکیده مقاله:
The use of nanotechnology in the oil and gas sector is rapidly increasing, as demonstrated by numerous studies conducted in recent years. This growth is driven by the industry's need for groundbreaking technologies to tackle various challenges it currently faces. Researchers are exploring a variety of nanoparticles in different sizes and concentrations across many applications. There are challenges associated with the effective use of nanoparticles, particularly regarding their stability in liquids and their ability to travel through reservoir rocks. To overcome these issues, researchers have introduced viscosifiers to improve stability and have utilized surface-treated nanoparticles to enhance their transport properties. Looking forward, it is recommended that future research explores the synergistic effects-how different nanoparticles interact with one another-to discover more effective applications. Findings from these studies could strengthen current and future uses of nanotechnology, particularly in high-pressure and high-temperature (HPHT) environments. Currently, most published research on nanotechnology in the oil and gas industry comes from laboratory experiments, signaling a need for more field trials to validate these concepts in real-world settings. Additionally, since nanoparticles can be costly, finding the minimum effective concentration that still meets performance standards will be key. Therefore, future research should also focus on optimization studies to refine the efficient use of nanoparticles in various applications.
