چکیده مقاله:

This research investigated the effect of chitosan (CS) addition, as a carbohydrate polymer in the form of a solid that hybridized with a nanoparticle, into a polymer matrix on rheological properties. To achieve this, CS with a spherical microstructure was firstly fabricated through hydrolysis with acids, then, covalently conjugated with synthesized graphene oxide (GO) nanosheets with the aid of DCC and DMAP catalysts through a hybridization method. Subsequently, polylactic acid nanocomposites containing various loading amounts of the prepared GO-CS nanohybrid were fabricated via the solvent casting method and investigated in term of rheological properties. The obtained results from rheological assessment indicated that the functionalization of GO and CS put a remarkable impact on H-bonding between GO-CS and PLA, leading to a profound effect on the linear dynamic viscoelasticity.
