چکیده مقاله:
Background and Aim: Osteosarcoma is a bone cancer that is known to be an aggressive cancer. The aim of the present study was to investigate heart rate variability (HRV) in people with osteosarcoma after rehabilitation exercises combined with vitamin D supplementation. Materials and Methods: ۴۰ people with a body mass index above ۳۰ kg/m۲, age ۲۴.۹۰±۴.۰۳ years, height ۱۶۳.۸۵±۳.۶۲ cm and weight ۸۲.۱۷±۴.۵ kg participated in the study. In this study, ۲۷ women with osteosarcoma cancer were randomly divided into four groups (patient-exercise), (patient-exercise-vitamin D), (patient-exercise-placebo) and (control). The exercise protocol included ten weeks of Pilates exercise. The supplement group consumed ۵۰۰ IU of vitamin D three days a week for ۱۰ weeks. The data were analyzed using a paired t-test and analysis of covariance. Findings: The results of the study showed that after ten weeks of vitamin D consumption following Pilates activity, heart rate decreased significantly (P≤۰.۰۵). Conclusion: Based on the results obtained, it seems that vitamin D consumption along with exercise rehabilitation can be an effective treatment method for reducing aerobic power consumption in people with osteosarcoma.
