چکیده مقاله:
This study investigates the role of new technologies in teaching English to students, a rapidly evolving field shaped by advances in digital tools and communication platforms. As English language education faces increasing demands for flexibility, interactivity, and cultural relevance, integrating technology has become essential to meet diverse learner needs and enhance educational outcomes. The main objective of this research is to analyze how various technological tools, including computer-assisted language learning (CALL), mobile-assisted language learning (MALL), and interactive multimedia, contribute to improving English language teaching effectiveness. Employing a qualitative, descriptive, and library-based research methodology, the study reviews and synthesizes scholarly works from reputable academic databases such as SID, CIVILICA, Noormags, MagIran, and Google Scholar. This approach enables a comprehensive understanding of the pedagogical advantages, challenges, and best practices related to technology integration in English language classrooms without conducting empirical case studies. The findings reveal that new technologies expand access to learning materials, promote learner autonomy, and facilitate interactive and culturally rich learning experiences. They enable learners to engage with authentic language input flexibly, receive immediate feedback, and develop skills beyond traditional classroom boundaries. However, successful implementation depends heavily on teacher preparedness, digital literacy, and alignment with curriculum goals. Additionally, issues such as digital equity, technical challenges, and potential distractions must be addressed to maximize benefits. Future efforts should focus on supporting educators, bridging digital divides, and continuing research to optimize technology use in diverse educational contexts.
