چکیده مقاله:

Multicultural education has become an essential framework for promoting inclusivity, reducing prejudice, and strengthening social cohesion within diverse learning environments. This paper consolidates findings from empirical research and theoretical analyses to assess how multicultural curricula influence student attitudes and intergroup dynamics. Evidence indicates that carefully designed multicultural programs foster greater empathy, cultural sensitivity, and constructive interactions across different student groups. Nevertheless, the approach often faces obstacles—including lack of authentic engagement by majority groups, perfunctory curriculum adaptations, and insufficient educator preparation—that limit its transformative potential. To address these limitations, this paper recommends the development of comprehensive curricula that integrate multiple cultural narratives and new modules celebrating global heritages. It also underscores the need for enhanced professional development, equipping teachers with culturally responsive pedagogical skills and bias-awareness strategies. Furthermore, the review highlights the importance of community partnerships and innovative assessment tools that capture not only academic progress but also social-emotional and intercultural competencies. By implementing these measures, policymakers and educators can maximize the long-term societal benefits of multicultural education.
