چکیده مقاله:

Social media addiction is recognized as one of the serious challenges in the lives of today’s youth. Excessive use of various platforms not only negatively impacts the learning process but also leads to decreased focus and productivity in academic activities. Instead of dedicating time to studying and completing assignments, young people find themselves increasingly exposed to engaging and often trivial content. This situation can result in lower grades and a lack of success in education, as individuals lose the ability to manage their time and attention effectively. On the other hand, the psychological effects of this addiction cannot be overlooked. Continuous use of social media can lead to feelings of loneliness, depression, and anxiety. Young people often compare themselves to others, which may create a negative self-image and diminish their self-esteem. Consequently, these challenges not only affect academic performance but also harm their mental health, reducing feelings of satisfaction and happiness in their lives.
