چکیده مقاله:

This study investigates the challenges faced by Iranian students at Zand Institute of Higher Education in Shiraz in learning English as a foreign language. Through qualitative interviews with students in the Teaching English language field, the research identifies key obstacles, including a disconnect between formal instruction and practical needs, limited opportunities for real-world English usage, and a lack of awareness of effective learning strategies. The findings highlight the need for pedagogical approaches that foster motivation, promote active learning, and provide greater exposure to authentic English materials to enhance students' communicative competence.
