چکیده مقاله:

Background & Objective: To evaluate the severity of menopausal symptoms and to identify the related factors. Materials & Methods: In this cross-sectional study, ۲۱۴ patients aged ۳۵ to ۶۵ were enrolled by convenience sampling. Of these, ۷۰ were Premenopausal, ۷۲ were perimenopausal, and ۷۲ were postmenopausal. Data collection tools were the International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ), a list of menopausal symptoms and a checklist of subjects' general characteristics. Results: The mean scores of the somatic, psychological, and genitourinary domains were higher in the postmenopausal, perimenopausal, and postmenopausal groups, respectively, indicating a significant difference among the three groups based on these domains. Post hoc analysis revealed a significant difference between the postmenopausal group and the premenopausal (P=۰.۰۰۱) and perimenopausal (P=۰.۰۰۱) groups in the genitourinary domain. There was a significant difference in the psychological domain between the premenopausal and perimenopausal (P=۰.۰۰۲), and postmenopausal (P=۰.۰۰۹) groups. Additionally, there was a significant difference in the somatic domain between the premenopausal group and the perimenopausal (P=۰.۰۰۱) and postmenopausal (P=۰.۰۰۱) groups. Conclusion: Postmenopausal women exhibit more severe urinary menopausal symptoms compared to premenopausal and perimenopausal women. Nonetheless, women in the perimenopausal and postmenopausal groups reported a higher frequency of somatic and psychological symptoms than the other group. Genitourinary symptoms tend to increase in women after menopause. Knowing the symptoms of menopause and how to manage them can be effective in self-care and women's well-being
