Background and Aims: Large language models and generative artificial intelligence (AI) have demonstrated significant promise for revolutionizing healthcare with solutions for complex challenges, while these developments offer promising avenues for innovation, but their potential for ethical quandaries cannot be overlooked. The aim of this study is to explore the ethical issues in the use of AI in healthcare. Methods: This meta-synthesis qualitative study was conducted by reviewing relevant qualitative published articles since ۲۰۲۰. Data were extracted and analyzed from relevant sources discussing the ethical issues of AI in healthcare through reputable academic databases and online sources in a ۵ years period of time and analyzed using qualitative meta-synthesis approach. Results: The analysis of data revealed several key ethical issues in the use of AI in healthcare. These The emerged themes classified into relevant ۶ main categories: Security and Privacy Challenges in Healthcare Systems, Transparency and Bias, Data Misuse and Technical Limitations, Value-Based Issues in Healthcare Systems, Accountability and Responsibility in Case of Errors, Equity and Fair Access to Healthcare. Conclusion: There is a significant ethical concerns in applying AI to healthcare. Implementing strong security frameworks, providing ongoing training for healthcare professionals, continuous monitoring AI model performance for controlling biases, and establishing ethical bill of rights to ensure adherence to ethical standards are some recommended points.
