Background and Aims: Among health workers, nurses constitute the largest workforce. Therefore, increasing the quality of services provided by nurses is crucial for positive patient outcomes. Nowadays, robotic surgery is gaining attention due to its relevance in the health field and in several prevention and rehabilitation sectors, the use of technology has increased and it is challenging for nursing professionals, who must always stay up to date given the ambiguity of technological evolution. Methods: In this review study, ۲۱ full-text English articles from ۲۰۱۹-۲۰۲۴ were selected and reviewed in PubMed, Scopus, Google Scholar, and SID databases. Studies in operating room nurses who had at least one year of experience in the operating room were compared between two groups (in robotic-assisted laparoscopy and pure laparoscopic surgery) was performed and a satisfaction questionnaire was used to measure job satisfaction among nurses. Descriptive statistical data for continuous variables were expressed as mean and standard deviation. T-test was used to compare the two groups. Results: The study showed that there was no difference between nurses during robotic-assisted laparoscopic surgery and pure laparoscopic surgery in terms of demographic parameters. ۲۱.۸% of nurses had low job satisfaction, ۶۵.۳% had moderate job satisfaction, and ۱۲.۹% had high job satisfaction. Conclusion: Based on the present study, it can be concluded that surgical technology creates additional job demands for postoperative nurses who have different tasks, which may be difficult to manage. The heavy workload of operating room nurses increases the likelihood of stress, burnout, and anxiety and reduces their job satisfaction. Therefore, it is necessary to examine the well-being and job satisfaction of intraoperative nurses and their perception and acceptance of new technologies that affect job demands. They and their psychological outcomes are also affected, it is essential. Ultimately, the quality of patient care depends on well-being and job satisfaction.
