The Challenge and Legislative Solutions of Child Trafficking in the Law on the Protection of Children and Adolescents, Based on Its Comparison with the Law on Combating Human Trafficking

Undoubtedly, human trafficking, especially child trafficking, is one of the crimes that violate human rights and inherent dignity, and combating it requires comprehensive action based on effective legislative measures. In Iran's criminal policy, due to the characteristics of children, distinctive provisions in substantive and formal dimensions have been considered to protect this vulnerable group, and child trafficking is no exception to this category. However, traffickers lure or deceive children's wealth in various ways and use them in matters such as organ harvesting, working in corruption centers, distributing drugs, or carrying out terrorist activities. Although many studies have been conducted on child trafficking and human trafficking, in the present study, due to the lack of a coherent research work that, while implementing these two laws, addresses the solutions and shortcomings in the field of children and adolescents; We intend to present the results of this study based on description, analysis, and reasoning, while collecting information by referring to existing books, articles, and laws.
