چکیده مقاله:

This research addresses the problem of forced child labor as a manifestation of modern slavery, and its negative repercussions on the sustainability of food security, by analyzing the relationship between the exploitation of children in forced labour and the threat to the ability of societies to achieve comprehensive and sustainable food security. The research proceeds from the premise that the persistence of forced labour practices against children not only threatens their fundamental rights, but also represents a structural obstacle to sustainable agricultural and even industrial development within global supply chains, negatively affecting food availability and quality. Effectively addressing forced child labour is a prerequisite for sustainable food security, and requires activating international and national legislation to strengthen supply chain control mechanisms, as well as adopting social and economic policies that ensure the protection of children from exploitation and promote equitable food security. The research focuses on the international legal framework regulating the fight against modern slavery, in particular the British 'Modern Slavery Act' of ۲۰۱۵. The Fighting Against Forced Labour and Child in Supply Chains Act ۲۰۲۳ analyzes the effectiveness of these laws in protecting children and combating forced labor in agricultural and food supply chains. The research also reviews the role of international conventions such as the International Labour Organization Convention No. ۲۹ of ۱۹۳۰, in addition to the effectiveness of the objectives of Sustainable development, which has played an important role in combating forced labor, thus consolidating legal protection for children and linking it to the right to food.
