A high-performance microstrip low-pass filter (LPF) has been designed and optimized for microwave frequency applications. The proposed filter exhibits an ultra-wide stopband, sharp roll-off in the transition region, and a compact footprint. These characteristics are achieved by integrating high- and low-impedance cells and symmetrically structured triangular resonators. Compared to state-of-the-art fabricated filters and existing designs reported in ISI-indexed literature, the proposed LPF demonstrates superior performance in transition band steepness, wide stopband rejection, and miniaturized dimensions at the designated cutoff frequency. The filter's structurally simple design enhances manufacturability and practical implementation. It operates with a cutoff frequency of ۱.۷۵ GHz and is fabricated on an RT/duroid ۵۸۸۰ substrate with a thickness of ۰.۵۰۸ mm. This filter is well-suited for applications in wireless communication systems, microwave telecommunication networks, and satellite-based radio navigation technologies.
