چکیده مقاله:
Nature based therapeutic interventions (NBTI) have evolved as the most promising adjunct armamentarium in cancer therapy, offering clinical benefits in tumor inhibition and metastasis mitigation. These interventions range from exposure to natural environments, phytochemicals from plants, and therapeutic outdoor activities (forest bathing and gardening), all of which have been linked to improved health and well -being. This review summarizes evidence concerning the long -term effects of NBTIs on tumor growth and metastasis -related gene expression in animal cancer models. Results: The present study reveals that the use of NBTIs can affect several molecular pathways relevant in the progression of cancer such as inflammation, angiogenesis, apoptosis, oxidative stress and immune response regulation. These signaling pathways play a vital role in regulating tumor growth and metastatic spread. However, to date, there is considerable variability between study designs, types of interventions and mechanisms of action, necessitating standardized protocols and further mechanistic studies. Thus, this review highlights the significance of NBTIs as potential adjunctive agents for cancer treatment and stresses that their effectiveness as well as safety must be thoroughly studied both preclinically and clinically.
