Health tourism, the practice of traveling abroad to seek medical treatment, has seen significant growth in recent years, driven by the increasing demand for affordable, accessible, and advanced healthcare options. Among the many medical fields benefiting from this trend, menopause treatment, particularly hormonal therapies, has become a prominent focus. This article explores the motivations behind health tourism for menopause treatment, with a primary emphasis on hormonal therapies, such as hormone replacement therapy (HRT) and bioidentical hormone therapies. The article also examines the challenges and risks associated with health tourism, including quality concerns, regulatory issues, and post-treatment continuity. Additionally, the potential role of emerging technologies like telemedicine is discussed as a way to enhance patient care and bridge gaps in cross-border healthcare delivery. By providing an overview of the global landscape of health tourism for menopause treatment, this article offers insights into the opportunities and considerations that shape this growing sector.
