Health tourism, a growing segment of the global tourism industry, is the integration of healthcare services with travel, allowing individuals to travel to other countries for medical or wellness treatments. This convergence, particularly in the context of medical tourism and wellness tourism, is driven by factors such as global connectivity, technological innovations, and increasing awareness of the link between health and travel. This paper examines key factors for effective management of health tourism, including strong health infrastructure, regulatory frameworks, patient care management, and quality assurance systems. It also highlights the importance of maintaining high standards of medical services, including accreditation by international bodies such as the Joint Commission International (JCI), and the role of insurance policies in protecting international patients. In addition, ethical and legal challenges in medical tourism are examined. The study ultimately emphasizes the importance of strategic planning, sustainable practices, and international cooperation to overcome the challenges facing the health tourism industry.
