چکیده مقاله:

Medical tourism is becoming an increasingly vital sector for economic growth, particularly in countries like Iran, which combines advanced medical expertise with competitive pricing. This unique position makes Iran an attractive regional hub for international patients seeking quality healthcare. To create effective policies in this rapidly evolving field, it's crucial to integrate advanced foresight models that help identify emerging trends, anticipate challenges, and seize opportunities. This study examines how foresight methodologies—such as scenario planning, the Delphi method, and dynamic systems modeling—can shape medical tourism policies in Iran. These approaches allow policymakers to explore various future scenarios, engage with diverse stakeholders, and identify key areas for action. The findings highlight the essential role of foresight in promoting sustainable growth, enhancing global competitiveness, and aligning with long-term national development goals. By leveraging these methodologies, Iranian policymakers can better navigate the uncertainties in the medical tourism landscape, including geopolitical risks and shifting patient demands. Focusing on data analytics and fostering international collaboration will further enhance predictive capabilities and drive innovation. Ultimately, adopting a comprehensive foresight framework will empower Iran to seize new opportunities and strengthen its position as a leading destination for medical tourism.
