چکیده مقاله:

This study investigates the influence of thermal loading on acoustic emission signals in concrete across two distinct compressive strength classes. Elevated temperatures prompt an escalation in thermal expansion and volumetric alterations within concrete structures. Such volumetric changes may induce internal stresses and pressures, consequently fostering the genesis of fractures. These physical transformations operate alongside chemical reactions contingent upon temperature and concrete constituents, thereby instigating modifications in concrete's mechanical properties and durability. Acoustic emission testing enables the detection of these structural changes through the monitoring of ultrasonic stress waves generated by microstructural events. Employing compressive and Brazilian splitting tensile strength tests, this paper scrutinizes the ramifications of thermal loading up to ۴۰۰°C on two concrete strength grades. The findings indicate that, while concrete of lower strength demonstrates a diminished total acoustic emission event compared to high-strength concrete, experiencing high temperatures results in a significant increase in acoustic emission events, notwithstanding the concurrent reduction in strength.
