چکیده مقاله:

The use of a large populous area with developed transport and energy systems makes cities the highest carbon emitter clusters in the world. The ever increasing number of cities as a result of urbanization cannot be reversed and therefore, carbon emission from cities will continue to grow. Nonetheless, even with these limitations in mind, modern approaches to sustainable urban centre livelihood provide hope for lowering this impact. Metropolitan s have reduced carbon footprints. This paper presents the cutting edge technology and policies aimed to mitigate carbon emission in urban areas along with explaining how such technology can accelerate sustainable urbanization. Conclusions: By prioritizing green spaces in the city, public transport, energy-efficient buildings, renewable resources, waste reduction, water management and education, cities can temper their blow to the environment and promote sustainable urban lifestyles.
