چکیده مقاله:

Today, due to the increasing demand for energy worldwide and the provision of a large part of this energy by fossil fuels, improving the efficiency of energy sources is of particular importance. In addition to instability and uncertainty, these sources also impose harmful effects on the environment. Buildings have a significant share among consumers of these types of resources for energy supply. Therefore, in building design, which includes processes such as selecting appropriate cooling and heating systems, determining the amount of heat storage materials such as phase change materials, determining the capacity of thermal and electrical storage systems, and also determining the performance of energy supply systems such as the discharge and charging time of electrical and thermal storage systems, optimal energy consumption must also be considered. It is necessary to produce and consume energy in the most optimal way. The most important solution for optimal energy production is to use renewable energy sources with the least amount of damage to the environment. Understanding the types of renewable and non-renewable energy sources and their effects will be the first step in this direction. It is also good to become familiar with the various policies adopted in different parts of the world. Since office and residential buildings are among the most energy-intensive consumers around the world, their design in line with the principles of sustainable development and, in particular, optimal insulation of buildings is also one of the most important issues for optimal energy consumption. In this article, the aforementioned topics are described and reviewed in brief.
