Rehabilitation Nursing in Life Challenges of Patients with Cancer and with Ostomy; A Review Study

With the increase in the prevalence of pelvic and intestinal cancers, the use of ostomy as a treatment method has become popular. This change in lifestyle, especially in physical, mental, and social aspects, affects the quality of life of patients. Therefore, managing the challenges caused by ostomy is essential for these patients. Rehabilitation nurses can effectively improve patients' quality of life by identifying these challenges and providing solutions such as comprehensive training, continuous follow-up, creation of support groups, etc. This review study was conducted with the aim of investigating the effect of rehabilitation nursing on managing the challenges of cancer patients with ostomy.
