چکیده مقاله:

Pressure ulcers are one of the most well-known avoidable safety issues worldwide. Preventive measures are the most efficient way to reduce their incidence, and the correct determination of risk factors for the development of pressure ulcers is the first step in prevention, and its therapeutic activities are more expensive than preventive interventions. Patients hospitalized in intensive care units are more susceptible to complications due to invasive care measures/central vascular lines/mechanical ventilation. Care and prevention of pressure ulcers are among the duties assigned to nurses. The lack of knowledge and performance of nurses can be associated with an increase in the prevalence of pressure ulcers. According to the researcher's experience as a special ward nurse, the present study was conducted with the aim of reviewing the literature related to the attitude and performance of nurses in the prevention of pressure ulcers, as well as investigating the factors affecting the occurrence of pressure ulcers in special departments.
